Aluminium Flooring Trims
Flooring trims are the profiles that finish the edges and joints of a floor: the strip under a doorway, the transition where two coverings meet, the edge where a hard floor runs into carpet. Our range covers flooring and carpet edging and transitions. MOQ starts at 300 m per profile.

Representative flooring and carpet sections
Representative sections from our die library. The dimension that decides fit is the thickness of the covering the profile works against — the flooring it finishes, or the carpet it grips. Tell us the covering and the joint and we confirm the section.

What this range covers
The profiles below are produced in the same finishes and the same section standards as the rest of our range. Tell us which joint you are closing and we confirm the section that suits it.
| Profile | Where it is used |
|---|---|
| T-moulding (T-bar) | Bridges two coverings of the same thickness, sitting across the expansion gap |
| Reducer | Bridges two coverings of different thickness, absorbing the step between them |
| End cap / Square edge | Closes an exposed floor edge, where a floor finishes against a wall or runs into carpet |
| Threshold / Door bar | Covers the joint under a door, including the clearance under the door leaf |
| Flooring stair profile | Turns the edge of a floor covering over a step |
| Carpet bar / Carpet edging | Holds and finishes the edge of a carpet where it meets a hard floor or an open edge |
| Carpet-to-hard-floor transition | Bridges carpet and a hard covering, absorbing the difference in height between them |
Capability range
Every dimension below is confirmed against your drawing before production. Because the range is wide, we publish the working range rather than fixed SKUs.
| Item | Specification | What it means for your project |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Aluminium alloy | Extruded aluminium sections for interior trim |
| Grade | 6063-T5 | Standard architectural extrusion grade, confirmed against your specification before sampling |
| Item | Specification | What it means for your project |
|---|---|---|
| Covering thickness | 3–12 mm | The dimension that decides fit. The profile is chosen against the thickness of the covering it sits on |
| Wall thickness | 1.0–3.0 mm | Heavier than trim sections, because flooring profiles take foot traffic |
| Standard length | 0.9 m / 1.8 m / 2.7 m | Supplied in standard lengths or cut to the size you need |
| Custom lengths | Cut to size | Cut to your required length on the production run |
Surface finishes and colours
| Item | Specification | What it means for your project |
|---|---|---|
| Surface finish | Anodized, powder-coated, wood-grain, brushed, polished, sandblasted | Available processes; powder coating can be matched to a RAL code |
| Gloss level | Glossy or matt | Every colour is available in either version — tell us the sheen you need |
| Colour | 10 standard | Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Bronze, Champagne, Grey, Granite, Light Grey, Black, White |
| Custom colours | Matched to your sample | Colour matched to your reference — typically within 90% on standard tones; special colours confirmed in advance |
Ten colours are held as standard, and every one of them can be produced glossy or matt. Send a colour reference — a swatch, a photo or a RAL code — and we match it. On standard tones the match typically reaches 90%, and unusual colours are confirmed with a physical sample before production. If the sheen matters for your project, say so at the enquiry stage and we will confirm it with the sample.
The same ten colours are used across the whole range, so mixed profiles on one job match.
Where flooring and carpet trims are used
These profiles are used at every change of floor: under doorways, where laminate or LVT meets tile, where a floor edge is left exposed, and where carpet meets a hard floor or a stair. They close the joint, hold the covering edge and keep the finished floor line clean.

Frequently asked questions
Which profile do I need where two floors meet?
Where the two coverings are the same thickness, a T-moulding bridges the joint. Where they differ, a reducer absorbs the step. Send us the two thicknesses and the joint width and we confirm the section.
Do you supply carpet edging as well as flooring transitions?
Yes. Carpet bars and carpet-to-hard-floor transitions are produced in the same range, so a project can be finished with one supplier and one finish across flooring and carpet.
Can these profiles be matched to my flooring colour?
Yes. They are produced in the same surface finishes and the same ten standard colours as the rest of the range, and custom colour matching to your sample is available.
